Town OKs highway funding, signs county mowing contract and clears two resurfacing projects

Resolution #5-2025 (Agreement for the Expenditure of Highway Moneys pursuant to Section 284 of the Highway Law) passed unanimously and set aside funds for general repairs and two permanent improvements: (A) Powers Rd. to County Route 38, 1.66 miles—up to $140,000 for 18' asphalt resurface (1½"), two crossover culverts, new signs, and 2' gravel shoulders; (B) Davenport Rd. to Cargin Ranch Rd., 0.7 mile—up to $75,000 for similar resurfacing and culvert work. The board also approved Highway Budget Amendment #1-2025 moving $54,689 from fund balance to DA 5132.25.
