The Town of Constable postponed a public meeting scheduled for Dec. 27, 2024 to the February 2025 meeting because of concerns about the wording of a proposed local law on residency for appointed positions, the meeting record shows.
Town Clerk Susan Prue reported the postponement during the Dec. 27 session, saying the meeting “had to be postponed till the February 2025 meeting due to the wording of the proposed local law re: residency for appointed positions.” The board did not take further action on the proposal that night; the minutes do not specify whether revised language was prepared or when the item will appear on the February agenda.
