Kent Walker, Board President of the Angelina County Appraisal District, briefed the Hudson ISD trustees on a new ACAD board structure and recommended dividing the district's votes between the two incumbents running unopposed. "Mr. Walker recommended we divide our votes and give half to each of the candidates," the meeting record states.
On the recommendation, Mr. Reagan McClenny moved, seconded by Dr. Shawn Penn, to cast 106 votes by resolution53 votes for Jimmy Ford and 53 votes for Gilbert J. Garza. The board approved the resolution unanimously (7-0). The action records how the district will allocate its appraisal-district votes for this election cycle.
