The Hondo Independent School District Board of Trustees voted Feb. 9 to call a bond election for May 2, 2026 that would ask voters to approve three propositions totaling $30 million: Proposition A for $25 million, Proposition B for $3 million and Proposition C for $2 million. The board approved an Order calling the election after a presentation by Bond Committee co-chairs.
Trustee Joel Gonzales moved to approve the Order for the Calling of a Bond Election and Trustee Blake Halbardier seconded; the minutes record the roll-call and the motion passing. The district will publish the order and follow statutory election procedures ahead of the May 2 vote, including ballot preparation and public notices.
