Henderson ISD approves new hires, accepts resignations and continues District of Innovation staff
Summary
Following executive session the board approved administration recommendations for new hires, accepted a slate of resignations (effective immediately and at the end of the year), and continued District of Innovation teachers with letters of reasonable assurance for 2026–27.
After returning from closed session, the Henderson ISD Board of Trustees approved administration recommendations for a list of new hires, accepted submitted resignations and approved District of Innovation (DOI) letters of reasonable assurance for select staff.
Documents in the board packet list multiple resignations effective at the end of the 2025–26 school year and several immediate resignations; one employee was terminated effective immediately. The packet also included recommended probationary administrative and teaching contracts for 2026–27 (for example, recommending Terry Alexander for a one‑year probationary administrative contract as assistant principal at Henderson Middle School) and a detailed DOI continuation list identifying alternative certification programs for multiple teachers. Trustees voted unanimously to approve the personnel actions presented after closed session.
