Kevin Bryan presented a proposal to update the sound and lighting system in the Wylie Elementary cafetorium, telling trustees the existing equipment was outdated and insufficient to support campus programs and performances. The proposed package included new speakers, wireless microphones, stage lighting, control panels, wiring and installation.
The board approved the proposal from Mundt Music totaling $39,083.01 by unanimous vote. Administration said the improvements would benefit both WES and Wylie Primary School and that funding for the project was included in the district’s approved capital improvement projects.
