Hays CISD approves $17.26 million GMP for Fuentes Elementary renovations

The Hays CISD Board on March 30 voted 7-0 to approve the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) from Bartlett Cocke Construction for renovations and additions at Fuentes Elementary School under the 2025 bond program. Chief Operations Officer Max Cleaver presented the proposal, which the minutes record as not to exceed $17,256,971 and noted the design by O’Connell Robertson Architects.
Trustee Courtney Runkle asked additional questions during the presentation and Mr. Cleaver responded; no trustees voted against the motion. Approval authorizes district staff to proceed with contracts and project implementation consistent with bond program oversight and construction schedules.
