JEFFERSON ISD Honors Retiring Employee, Students and Staff of the Month

During the reports section of the Jan. 13 meeting, Michael Walker recognized Mike Wood and congratulated him on his retirement after 26 years of service in the district. The board also recognized students of the month—Kimbri Marshall, Dalton Evans, Kimber Sherrill, Lincoln Griffith, Everly Braden, Liam Kahl, Zia Greene, Cypress Braddock, Benji Johnson, and Stevie Frazier—and employees of the month: Ashley Hooper, Shalonda Knight, Jaqueline Hood, Laurie Heeter, Kari Hollander, and Mitzi Neely.
Those recognitions were part of a broader reports segment that also highlighted student competition results and other achievements; no public comment followed the reports section before business votes began.
