The Itasca Independent School District Board of Trustees unanimously adopted the district's 2025–26 operating budget after a public hearing and a staff presentation.
Superintendent Tonya Harris reviewed the proposed operating budget and said the district is proposing adopting a balanced budget for 2025–2026. Motion by Matthew Dugan, seconded by Chris Slagle, to adopt the Itasca ISD operating budget for 2025–2026 as presented, carried unanimously.
The adoption followed a public hearing on the budget and tax rate, which President Brian Bassett closed with no public comments. Board members present for the vote included President Brian Bassett, Vice President Susan Bason (via Zoom), Secretary Matthew Dugan, and members Willie Jackson, Daniel Rodriguez and Chris Slagle. The board entered an executive session later the same evening and returned before adjourning at 7:11 p.m.
