The Holliday Independent School District (HOLLIDAY ISD) Board of Trustees on May 11 administered the Oath of Office to newly elected trustees Cody Coltharp and Chris Morgan and then reorganized its officers.
Assistant Superintendent and recording secretary Kim Booher administered the oaths. Trustee Weldon Turner Jr. moved to name Cody Coltharp board president and to retain David Foster as vice president; Eric Morris seconded both motions. Eric Morris moved to name Amy Hughes board secretary, seconded by Turner. Each motion carried on voice votes recorded as For: 7, Against: 0.
The reorganization occurred early in the meeting after Vice President David Foster called the regular session to order at 6:00 PM. Trustees and district staff later proceeded to reports, action items and a closed-session personnel discussion. The administration noted future items, including a possible agenda item to revisit summer hiring authority for the superintendent.
