Angela Boyd called the School Safety and Security Committee to order and the group reviewed an update on the district Emergency Operations Plan.
Committee members were told the Active Threat Annex — a separate component of the district EOP — was submitted to the Texas Education Agency for review, returned with minor edits, resubmitted and approved and is now up to date. The committee framed the approval as an important procedural step ahead of a scheduled triennial safety audit on May 11–12, 2026.
