Students, NJHS and student council present tokens of appreciation to Jefferson ISD board

President Tolesia Smith-Davis called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. before students from Jefferson Middle School and Jefferson Junior/Senior High presented cards and tokens of appreciation to the board. Kaige Whitaker delivered a student card introduced by Tim Phy and Aaron Godwin, and Hailey Guichet, the JJHS student council and National Junior Honor Society sponsor, accompanied student presenters.
Bentley Bonner, a member of the National Junior Honor Society, told trustees "thank you" and expressed appreciation for board support; Ms. Taylor Driscoll presented a thank-you card made by elementary students. The board received tokens left on the dais from other campuses. The recognitions were offered without formal action and took place during the opening portion of the meeting.
