JEFFERSON ISD board approves campus and district improvement plans, votes unanimous

During the reports section, district staff reviewed baseline measures and growth targets for reading and math. Rusty Mauldin moved to approve the Campus Improvement and District Improvement Plans; Kirstin Johnson seconded the motion and it carried 6-0. Board President Tolesia Smith-Davis called the vote following the presentations.
The board's action follows accountability updates presented earlier in the meeting, including elementary- and secondary-level reports. The approvals allow campuses to proceed with the strategies outlined in the plans for the current school year. The board reconvened from closed session later in the evening and completed additional routine business.
