The Village Board passed two ordinances on April 28 to adjust permit and inspection fees. Staff said the changes correct fees that were omitted from the fee update adopted with the current budget and reflect vendor inspection costs.
Staff explained single-family building inspections will increase from $35 to $45 and multi-family/commercial/industrial inspections will increase from $45 to $80 per inspection. Separately, staff described a comprehensive amendment to right-of-way permitting to establish cost recovery for staff time, inspections, third-party review and to require financial guarantees where appropriate. Both ordinances were approved by roll call.
