The board approved a resolution authorizing execution of an agreement and purchase order with Chicagoland Pool Management to prep and replaster the diving well at the Water's Edge Aquatic Center in an amount not to exceed $56,865.
Sean, a village staff member, described the work as part of the community investment plan, saying the diving well needs repair for "cracks, water damage, and crumbling caused by...settling, age related brittleness, and general wear and tear." He said the work will be performed during the annual shutdown at the end of July and the department had budgeted $65,000 for the repair. The transcript records Chicagoland Pool Management submitted the lowest bid (reported during the meeting as $56,685); the board approved the resolution by roll call.
