The Kenedy County-Wide Common School District Board of Trustees met March 31, 2026, in the Sarita School Board Room. Board President Felix Serna called the meeting to order at 7:10 P.M.; trustees present were Felix Serna and Leticia Vela, and Gerardo Medellin was listed as absent.
Trustee Leticia Vela made motions throughout the meeting, each seconded by President Felix Serna, and each recorded as carrying unanimously among those present. The board approved the minutes of the Feb. 18, 2026 regular meeting, authorized Student Transfer Extensions for the 2026–2027 school year, approved a contract for election services with the Elections Administrator of Kenedy County, and certified the 2026–2027 Instructional Materials Allotment and TEKS. The board also adopted the district calendar for 2026–2027, accepted a monetary donation from King Ranch (Running W, Ltd.), and approved a proposal to remove old electrical service poles and perform associated electrical work.
Mrs. Tinsley reviewed the monthly financial statement, bank reconciliation and investment report, upcoming events and training opportunities, and presented the Superintendent/Principal's report. The board recessed into a closed session at 7:49 P.M. under Texas Government Code Section 551.074 for personnel deliberations and returned at 7:58 P.M.; the minutes record that no action was taken in open session on matters discussed in closed session.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:58 P.M. The board did not record any public comments during the open-forum period. No future meeting date was specified in the minutes.
