Mayor Eric Backman and the Diamondville Town Council approved a motion to terminate the lease agreement with UMWA 1307 for the town offices at 32 Conroy Street, setting a 90-day notice period that makes the termination effective Aug. 19, 2026. The motion was offered by Councilmember Nicole Petersen, seconded by Councilmember Sherrol Sloan, and passed by unanimous vote.
Clerk/Treasurer Cortney Bartschi recorded the action as part of the council's unfinished-business items. The council did not attach additional terms or follow-up actions in the meeting minutes; the mayor said he would ensure the termination notice is delivered in accordance with the town's procedures.
