Karnack ISD board approves TASB policy updates, adopts revision to CFB(Local)

Superintendent Angela Fitzpatrick presented a package of local policy changes drafted by TASB Policy Services following a Policy Review Session on April 14, 2026. After discussion, the board approved the recommended additions, revisions and deletions to local policy and voted to adopt the proposed revision to Policy CFB(LOCAL).
As part of the meeting the board conducted an annual review of Policy CDA(LEGAL) (Other Revenues/Investments) as a discussion‑only item; no motion was recorded on CDA(LEGAL) during the May 14 session. The minutes state that approval votes recorded on policy items were unanimous, 6–0 (Polk, Warren, Broadnax, Vandeventer, Crookshank, Giddens).
