Jourdanton ISD board records no public comments during budget hearing

The Jourdanton Independent School District Board opened its public comment period under Board Policy BED and recorded that there were no public comments. The meeting minutes explicitly state: "There were no public comments." No members of the public attended the budget and tax rate hearing portion of the meeting.
The agenda allowed for closed session under Texas Government Code provisions but the board did not call a closed session. President Barbara Peeler adjourned the meeting at 6:55 p.m. The minutes note the meeting's posting locations and nondiscrimination policy.
