Student report: NHS inductions, drama dates and winter sports kickoff; winter guard headed to Dayton

Matteo Pelosi, the Student Board Representative, told the board that the National Honor Society inducted 34 new members at a Nov. 13 ceremony that also honored a retiring staff member. He reported that the semi-formal held Nov. 15 was well-attended, and that Drama Club will present a musical on Feb. 6–8. Pelosi said 20 students will attend the NYSCLSA conference Nov. 24–26 and that Winter Guard and Winter Drumline qualified to compete in Dayton, Ohio, in April. He also reported that all winter sports started on Nov. 18.
The athletics presentation listed on the agenda was delivered by Jamie Grimshaw, Director of Health, P.E. & Athletics, and the Student Board Representative’s report provided the most detailed account of student activities and achievements recorded in the minutes. These items were presented to the full board and recorded in the meeting minutes.
