Cleveland County commissioners enter executive session on treasurer appointment, reconvene and take no action

The Cleveland County Board of Commissioners entered executive session at 1:04 P.M. Aug. 18, 2025, pursuant to 25 O.S. §307(B)(1) to discuss the appointment of a successor to fill the unexpired term of the Cleveland County Treasurer. The board reconvened at 2:37 P.M. and, after discussion, moved to take no action at this time and strike the item from the agenda.
The motions to enter executive session and to take no action were recorded in the clerk's minutes and approved by roll call. Commissioners Jacob McHughes, Rusty Grissom and Rod Cleveland voted in favor of reconvening and of striking the item; no appointment was made at that time. The meeting adjourned at 2:38 P.M.
