The Gordon ISD Board of Trustees voted April 15 to adopt the Davis‑Bacon wage scale as the standard for construction projects in Palo Pinto County and to include the wage determinations in bid and specification documents.
"I make a motion to approve the Davis Bacon Wage Scale to be utilized in association with construction projects according to the Davis Bacon Wage scale as issued for Palo Pinto County," said Brett Trigg, who moved the motion. The motion was seconded by Sarah Knight and passed with five votes in favor; two trustees were listed as absent.
During discussion trustees and staff described the adoption as a required compliance step for federal labor standards in construction bids and noted that the wage scale will be included in future bid packages and construction specification manuals.
