Charlie Capolino, a member of the Comprehensive Plan Implementation Committee, told the town board the committee began work in September 2024 and has mapped owners to more than 100 action items in the adopted comprehensive plan. "There's over a 100 actions listed in here of things that are recommended as part of that plan," he said, and the committee has met with MRB, county planning and local organizations to coordinate implementation.
Capolino said the group has launched a housing committee and a fiscal-responsibility committee to assess town finances with and without landfill revenue, and has been talking with grants and economic-development partners. He said the committee plans quarterly updates to the town board, will finalize a near-term prioritization and intends to provide input to the town's 2026 budget process. The committee also proposed a communications strategy including a newsletter and a possible annual town hall to recruit volunteers and improve transparency.
