Keller ISD board renews Air Force JROTC memorandum of agreement for Central High

The board unanimously approved renewal of the memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the Department of the Air Force to operate an AFJROTC unit at Central High School.
A district presenter explained the AFJROTC program provides citizenship training and aerospace science instruction. For the 2025–26 year the program is projected to enroll about 110 cadets, 44 of whom will be freshmen, representing all four comprehensive high schools in the district. The presenter noted cadets participate in a minimum of 25 community service hours and that Central High has hosted AFJROTC since 2004.
The MOA renewal was presented as a continuation of an existing program that has supported leadership development; the board voted to approve the renewal 7-0.
