SILC reports new appointments and recent resignations

Shelly Richardson reported on outreach and membership: Rachael Mellen, Muhammad Ahmed, and Patrick Rhein are up for reappointment; new members Adam Cooper and Jennifer Meyers are expected to be appointed in coming months. Richardson said Laine Tadlock is under consideration pending Outreach Committee approval. The minutes note resignations from Sara Witherell and DCFS representative Jackie Dortch and say a new DCFS representative will be appointed shortly.
Chairperson Hershel Jackson's term will end on June 30, 2026, after two terms. The Council did not record formal votes on the pending appointments at the May 6 meeting; those actions are being managed through the Outreach Committee process.
