Chazy board approves hires, substitutes, tenure and coaches for 2025

The Chazy Union Free School District Board of Education approved a series of personnel actions on Feb. 11, including appointments of per-diem substitutes, a teacher aide hire, tenure grants and coaching hires.
Jason Bruce moved to appoint the listed per-diem substitutes (Kassidy Turek $140/day; Georgia Belrose $140/day; Nathan Kinblom $150/day; Alyssa Virga $140/day; Mallory Hughes $140/day; Jillian Kain $140/day; Denise Bushey $140/day). The board also appointed Kaelynn Hernandez as a Teacher Aide at Step 3 (annual salary $20,886) with a start date of Feb. 24, 2025. The board granted tenure to Nick Brindisi (Elementary), Saania Brindisi (Elementary), Morgan Esposito (Elementary), Ryan Fessette (Biology 7–12, Chemistry 7–12), and Misty LeRoux (Mathematics 7–12). The board approved 2025 coaches and stipends (Josh Howell, Varsity Baseball, $3,542; Rob McAuliffe, Assistant Varsity Baseball, stipend N/A; Cory Thompson, Varsity Softball, $3,542; Olivia McLennan, Modified Softball, $2,770; Bailey Cross, Modified Baseball, $2,770) and appointed Emma Howell as a part-time lifeguard. All motions were recorded as carried unanimously.
