La Porte ISD board unanimously adopts consent agenda, schedules May trustee election

Consent items included approval of minutes from Dec. 9, 2025 and Jan. 5, 2026; receipt of principals' reports for multiple campuses; receipt of the Budget and Tax Rate Calendar for Fiscal Year 2027; financial reports for November 2025; the Human Resources Report; adoption of TASB Local Policy Update 126 (second reading and adoption); and adoption of Resolution No. 2026-01 calling the May 2, 2026 General Trustee Election. A separate motion to receive the Viola DeWalt High School principal’s report also passed 7–0.
