Dr. Cochran delivered the superintendent’s report at the Krum ISD Board of Trustees meeting on Aug. 14, noting enrollment as the district opened its school year. "As of today, we have 2466 students in attendance," he said, adding that more students are expected in the coming days.
Dr. Cochran provided construction and projects updates: the sealed bid process will open for the new middle school and the CTE Center on Monday; bidding will also begin for the middle school gym lobby relocation. He reported that construction costs have risen substantially, saying the cost of building has doubled since 2020. The middle school gym floor project will be delayed until February for additional planning, and the CTE center is expected to be completed by the beginning of next year.
