Stonington board swears in officials, approves committee appointments and General Fund budget
Summary
At an adjourned May 5 meeting the Village of Stonington swore in officials, approved committee assignments and voted unanimously to adopt the General Fund budget for the next fiscal year.
Village President Bruce Dowdy called the adjourned meeting to order at 7:02 p.m. and Clerk Jill Gilpin administered the oath of office to President Dowdy and several trustees. The board then moved quickly to set committee assignments for the coming year.
President Dowdy announced committee appointments: Caleb Grover (Gas); Andrew Callan (Water); Scott Kuntzman (Sewer); Tara Ramsey (Streets and Alleys); Jeff Graham (Health and Safety); and Tammy Wilson (Finance). Trustee Scott Kuntzman moved to approve the appointments, Trustee Tara Ramsey seconded, and the motion passed 6-0.
Following committee organization the board considered the General Fund budget for the next fiscal year. Trustee Tammy Wilson moved to accept the budget; Trustee Andrew Callan seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The board took no recorded amendments to the budget at the meeting.
