At its Aug. 19 meeting, the Lake Worth ISD Board of Trustees approved consent agenda items that included minutes, financial statements, budget amendments and a set of purchase orders and contracts.
Notable items approved include a Communities in Schools contract for case management and mental-health support services for $230,000; TASB Risk Management Fund coverage for legal liability, property and auto coverage for $479,352 (Sept. 1, 2024–Aug. 31, 2025); and an estimated annual TXU Energy purchase order for electricity at $460,000. The consent agenda also included multiple food-service and vendor contracts (Labatt Food Services, Oak Farms/Dean Foods), annual service providers and vendor POs listed in the minutes.
The board approved the consent items by a 7–0 vote. The minutes list additional POs and estimated amounts for water, waste removal, audit services and software licenses; the full purchase order details are recorded on the meeting agenda and in the minutes.
