The board approved a proposed compensation plan to move salary schedules to 95% of market after a presentation from Chief Financial Officer Scott Lucas. Lucas told trustees the district’s salary schedule is two years behind surrounding districts and presented comparison tables modeling 1%–3% salary increases.
Trustee Ernest Ogedo moved to approve the compensation plan; Melissa Cazares seconded the motion and the motion passed by recorded vote (5-0). Lucas noted clerical and auxiliary positions would require additional adjustment to reach parity with neighboring districts.
