Lake Dallas ISD trustees recognize students and staff for academics, arts and athletics

At its March 23 meeting, the Lake Dallas ISD Board of Trustees honored students and staff across academics, arts and athletics, including LDMS girls basketball’s 8th‑grade team winning the district title (12–1 season) and multiple students qualifying for UIL state solo and ensemble events.
The Lake Dallas Independent School District Board of Trustees on March 23 recognized a series of student and staff achievements across campuses, from athletics to the arts and classroom honors. Superintendent Dr. Kristin N. Brown and campus leaders introduced student advisory representatives, honored teachers and paraprofessionals of the year, and called out individual student accomplishments in art, theatre and band.
Coach Jamie Roach highlighted the Lake Dallas Middle School 8th Grade Lady Falcons’ district championship season, reporting a 12–1 record, 618 total team points, a 48 points-per-game average and a high of 64 in a single game. LDHS students were also recognized: one student’s artwork, “Olympia,” was selected for the 2025–26 Texas Art Education Association Youth Art Month Exhibition; 10 students were named Texas Theatre Scholars; and multiple band students qualified for UIL Texas State Solo and Ensemble competitions. Staff recognitions included Teachers and Paraprofessionals of the Year at each campus, the First Year Teacher of the Year (Jason Starr), and Auxiliary Employee of the Year (Brandon Wilson).
