Students preview Spring Fling, Read Across America; principal confirms testing readiness

Rachel Wright, Elementary Principal/Curriculum Coordinator, described student-leadership efforts collecting winter comfort items (hats, mittens), previewed Read Across America Week for the first week of March, and thanked the Class of 2025 for hosting a Sweetheart Dance for elementary students. Wright said the district held computer-based testing practice on Jan. 30 and that staff consider the district ready for the April testing window. She also reported a January attendance rate of 94 percent.
Other student-related details included Honor Society students partnering with middle-school students for tutoring and a March Madness attendance competition planned for the high school. Sectional basketball dates were noted: boys on Feb. 25 and girls on Feb. 26.
