Board approves multiple personnel moves, substitute hires and a three-year social worker agreement

The Cherry Valley-Springfield Central School District Board of Education approved a series of personnel actions as part of a consent agenda on Feb. 12.
Among the items approved were the appointment of Diane Kroon to teach one class per day for the second semester, the appointment of Stephanie Weaver as a Licensed Teaching Assistant effective March 21, 2025, and the appointment of Matthew Coria as Building Maintenance Mechanic for a probationary period beginning Feb. 3, 2025. The board also accepted the resignation of Katelyn Pasternak from a full-time teacher aide post effective Feb. 3, 2025, and subsequently appointed Pasternak to a part-time teacher aide role effective Feb. 10, 2025. The board appointed JoAnn Fralick and Olivia Jicha as instructional support substitutes and JoAnn Fralick as an instructional substitute for the 2024–2025 school year.
Trustees also approved an employment agreement for Gary Wannamaker, the School Social Worker, covering July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2028. The minutes record that these items were part of Resolutions 7–15-2025 on the consent agenda and that the motion carried unanimously.
