The Leon Independent School District Board of Trustees installed Mark Coker and elected its officers during a called meeting May 11, 2026.
On a motion by James Carlisle, seconded by Rusty Moore, the board elected Chad Thomas as Board President; the motion passed 7-0. Jeff Ahearn moved and Michelle King seconded the election of James Carlisle as Vice-President, and Bryan Rohrer moved with Michelle King seconding to elect Jeff Ahearn as Board Secretary; both motions passed 7-0.
Board President Chad Thomas opened the meeting at 6:00 p.m., noting a quorum and that notice had been posted in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act: "I call the meeting of the Leon Independent School District to order at 6:00 pm, May 11, 2026." The board concluded business for the night and adjourned at 8:38 p.m.
