Seneca Falls organizers preview April and summer events: community open house, canal-side social and museum ribbon cutting

Town volunteers and organizers used petitioners' time at the board meeting to promote several community events. Fred Capozzi of the comprehensive planning and implementation committee invited residents to an 'Advantage Together' community gathering on April 13 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Seneca Falls Community Center to meet 16 local organizations and share priorities.
Jim DePauwis outlined plans for a June 27 Sonic Falls Canal Side Social with live music and local vendors as a step toward a recurring night market to draw visitors and activate underused canalside space. The Supervisor also noted a museum ribbon-cutting on April 29 supported by Downtown Revitalization Initiative funds. Organizers said the events will include outreach, light refreshments and tables for informational displays. "My name is Fred Capozzi. I'm a member of the comprehensive planning and implementation committee," Capozzi told the board when announcing the April gathering.
Board members encouraged organizers to complete necessary permits and work with town staff on logistics; the Sonic Falls organizers said they have permit paperwork and plan to coordinate roped-off areas and ID checks for alcohol service.
