The Liberty Hill ISD Board of Trustees voted 6–0 on Sept. 15 to appoint Jamie Etzkorn to fill the vacant Place 4 seat until the May 2026 election. The motion was made by Kendall Carter and seconded by Chris Neighbors; the board then issued the statement of officer and administered the oath of office to Etzkorn, who joined the remainder of the meeting.
The appointment followed a closed-session discussion under Texas Open Meetings Act provisions for trustee appointments. President Megan Parsons announced the board’s action after the meeting returned to open session; the recorded vote was Canady 4 Yea, Carter 4 Yea, Neighbors 4 Yea, Hargrove 4 Yea, Ferguson 4 Yea, Parsons 4 Yea (vote in favor 6–0).
