LIBERTY ISD hears LHS construction update; Annex repair bid under $30,000

Grady Slaydon updated the Board on multiple LHS projects. He reported that veneer and masonry retaining repairs at the high school are complete and awaiting final inspection by Salas O’Brien; the gym’s Set E fire-escape stairs have been delivered and the gym area fenced for safety while reinstallation preparation continues.
Slaydon said site clearing and initial fencing for the baseball field have begun but poor weather over the next two weeks is expected to delay additional ground work. He noted the Annex 2 repair bid came in at under $30,000, roughly half of the originally approved figure, which the Board will record in ongoing project accounting.
