At the May 7 meeting the Cherry Valley-Springfield Central School District Board unanimously approved the consent agenda, which included multiple routine business items. Key actions: approval of the April 9, 2025 minutes; transfers into account A2610490 totaling $30,000 (two transfers of $15,000 from A2110120 and A2110130); and the declaration of a 2016 Dodge Caravan with 137,325 miles as surplus and available for bid.
The board also accepted a combining-contract arrangement with Cooperstown Central School District for varsity and modified football and varsity swim for the 2025-26 school year; accepted the resignation of Special Education teacher Sarah Paradiso effective June 30, 2025; accepted the retirement of Colleen Loucks effective June 30, 2025; and approved a set of contingent summer and substitute appointments, including Driver Education appointment Jordan Rhodes (contingent on enrollment), instructional support substitute Brian Sage, instructional substitute Kaliegh Nafey, and volunteers Ken Smith and Mathew Oram. The motion carried unanimously.
