At the start of the April 9 meeting, four students spoke to the board about their volunteer experiences and future plans and asked permission to play football for Cooperstown Central School.
Student Liaison Ethan All updated the board, saying Spirit Week was "busy and fun," that ROC Awards will be voted on after break, and that Homecoming planning is underway. Secondary Principal Kevin Keane noted the quarter ends Friday, Valedictorian and Salutatorian announcements are forthcoming, technology problems affected NY State testing, and a Career Day is scheduled for May 1. Elementary Principal Rachel Wright described a 5th grade Living Museum and curriculum alignment work. Wright also proposed hiring a technology teacher instead of a health teacher for next year.
