Principals report student activities; secondary staff discuss no‑cell‑phone plan for next year

Elementary Principal Krista Ringer told the board about a successful Grades 4–6 trip to Titus Mountain, a concluding Reading Campaign, and Wellness Grant items arriving for student use, including life jackets, kayaks and grow-cart materials. She also noted upcoming events: a K–3 movie PTO event, a Spring Music Concert on March 20, and other student activities.
Secondary Principal Megan Walls reported that the five-week marking period is ending, June Regents exams have been ordered, and department heads are meeting to finalize plans for a no‑cell‑phone policy next year. Walls said the plan is expected to be solidified before the next school year starts; the board received the updates as informational.
