President Megan Parsons convened the Liberty Hill ISD Board of Trustees on Aug. 18, and the board approved the district's proposed 2025-26 budget for the General Fund, Debt Service Fund and Food Service Fund as presented. Rosanna Guerrero led the budget presentation; the motion to adopt the budget was made by Kristi Hargrove and seconded by Chris Neighbors and passed unanimously, 6-0.
The board separately approved a proposed property tax rate of $1.2389, which the minutes record as an effective 6.17 percent increase. The motion to adopt the rate was made by Brandon Canady and seconded by Chris Neighbors; each trustee was recorded voting in favor and the motion carried 6-0. The board also adopted an order calling a tax ratification election to be held November 4, 2025, by separate motion (passed 6-0).
