Joseph Prevoide, director of the Shandaken Historical Museum, reported that the museum hosted a memorial service for long-time board member Jonathan Baldwin and that the museum is arranging several summer events and historical programming. A Revolutionary War reenactment with an authentic cannon is planned for Saturday, Sept. 26 at Big Indian Park, and the museum will sponsor an all-day multicultural music festival on July 25 at the Pine Hill Community Center.
Prevoide said the museum is contributing to the comprehensive-plan history section and working with local historians and reenactors to stage authentic programming. Attendance and visitor donations for May were recorded (65 visitors), and the museum listed collaborators and volunteers helping with this season's calendar.
