County schedules continuation of first hearing on Sturbridge Meadows ditch petition for Aug. 4

County Administrator Aundrea Cordle announced that the first hearing continuation for the Sturbridge Meadows ditch petition has been scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2026 in the Commissioners' Hearing Room. Cordle said letters supporting or opposing the proposed project may be submitted to the Commissioners' Office until 9:00 a.m. on Aug. 4 and cited Section 6131 of the Ohio Revised Code as the governing statutory provision for the process.
Cordle reminded the audience that under Section 6131 the commissioners must vote to either proceed with or dismiss the petition within 90 days of the viewing. No public comments were offered on this item during the July 28 meeting; interested parties were directed to file written comments by the Aug. 4 deadline.
