Lovejoy ISD board recognizes Leadership Lovejoy class and student achievements, announces graduation dates

At its April 27 meeting, the Lovejoy ISD Board of Trustees recognized participants in the Leadership Lovejoy Class of 2026 and introduced Heather Cox as the district’s new Chief Human Resources and Communications Officer. Dr. Travis Zambiasi and program directors recognized Lovejoy High School Orchestra and powerlifting students for state‑level achievements.
Chief Operations Officer Kyle Pursifull and Brice McCasland recognized student Olivia Guarriello for designing the Lucas Police Department patch. Superintendent Katie Kordel later highlighted that Lovejoy High School senior Teni Segun won a state championship in powerlifting and that Lovejoy VEX Robotics teams placed among the top eight teams in the world. Kordel also announced upcoming dates: Pre‑K graduation on Thursday, May 21, and Class of 2026 graduation on Saturday, May 23.
