Mabank ISD’s board approved a Memorandum of Understanding with Trinity Valley Community College (TVCC) to provide dual-credit offerings during the 2026–2027 school year. Charity Groom, Executive Director of Curriculum & Instruction, presented the proposed agreement; Secretary Robby Teague moved for approval and Trustee John Litchfield seconded. The motion passed 5-0.
At the same meeting the board also approved submission of the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) Certification Form for 2026–2027 to the Texas Education Agency, a routine curriculum certification step. Trustee Dustin Conner moved for approval and Vice President Erik Tijerina seconded; the vote was 5-0.
