Commission recommends Business Park Center future land use, Light Industrial zoning for Foer property

The Planning Commission unanimously recommended the City Commission approve a Future Land Use Map amendment to Business Park Center and a Zoning Map amendment to Light Industrial for a ±1.04-acre Foer property at Tschetter Drive and Hwy 92.
Community Development Director Julie Womble said staff had previously submitted an incorrect Future Land Use recommendation and brought the application back to align the parcel’s City Future Land Use with neighboring Business Park Center. "When this came before you previously... we realized we did not put the proper Future Land Use Recommendation. We need to change that and so we are bringing it all back to you for consideration," Womble said. The petitioner seeks the change to allow parking and uses compatible with adjacent industrial and commercial development.
Commissioner Tom Dudash moved and Commissioner Jody Miller seconded the recommendation to approve; the motion carried with all ayes. Staff confirmed the recommendation covered both the Future Land Use and the Zoning Map amendment and will be forwarded to the City Commission for final action.
