Register of Deeds Nicole Ziebell presented the office's 2026 budget to the Marquette County Planning and Zoning Committee on Aug. 7, 2025. The committee approved the budget and voted 5-0 to forward it to the Executive & Finance committee for further consideration.
Ziebell also explained proposed increases in the office's 2026 fee schedule and the committee approved the fee changes, to take effect Jan. 1, 2026, on a 5-0 vote. The motions to approve the budget and the fees were made by committee members (budget motion moved by Dave Benson, seconded by John Bennett; fee schedule motion moved by John Bennett, seconded by Dave Benson).
