Committee approves Delgado rezoning for 35-acre Buffalo Township parcel

The Marquette County Planning and Zoning Committee voted 5-0 on Aug. 7, 2025, to approve a rezoning request from Julie Delgado for a 35-acre parcel in Section 11, T14N R10E, Town of Buffalo, forwarding the request to the County Board for final action.
Planning & Zoning Administrator Jean Potter summarized the application and explained that the proposal would remove an existing mobile home and replace it with a new single-family home; the application requests rezoning a minimum of 4 acres to Agricultural-Residential (AG-3(4)) and about 31 acres to Farmland Preservation Overlay (FPO). The Town of Buffalo had previously approved the request. John Bennett moved to approve the rezoning and forward it to the County Board; Dave Benson seconded the motion, which carried 5-0.
The decision means the County Board will consider the final rezoning ordinance at a later meeting. No public opposition was recorded in the minutes.
