Town board approves snow-and-ice agreement with county; highway notes trucking parking request
Summary
The Town of Clifton approved a Snow and Ice Removal Agreement with St. Lawrence County, will investigate the Advance Clean Truck Report, and agreed to plow a weekday tractor-trailer parking spot at the Newton Falls Paper Mill lot for Tuscarora.
Highway Superintendent Kelly Smith reported the department will look into the Advance Clean Truck Report and presented a Snow and Ice Removal Agreement with St. Lawrence County for winter maintenance of designated county roads. Council Member John Russell moved to accept the agreement, seconded by Ray Campany; the board voted Ayes 5, Noes 0 to approve the agreement.
Smith also said Tuscarora, which is working at Browns Falls, requested weekday tractor-trailer parking at the Newton Falls Paper Mill lot; the town agreed to plow out a parking spot for that purpose. No financial appropriation specific to the parking was recorded at the meeting.
